PTFA

Support the school!

The PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friends Association) is vital to the success of the school. Funds raised enrich your child’s learning and make every student’s experience better. As an integral part of the school community, everyone with a connection to our school is welcome – parents, teachers, guardians, grandparents, governors etc.

Who are we?

The PTFA is a small but enthusiastic group of parents, carers, grandparents and teachers who work together to come up with fundraising ideas to raise money to make our federation a better place for our children. We all do as little or as much as we can when we can, and everybody is very welcome to the meetings.

What do we do?

We meet every half term to plan the fundraising for the term ahead, organise and run events, and agree on what the funds raised are to be spent on.  Our main aim is to ensure that all children benefit from the items purchased by the PTFA.

How does the PTFA use the funds raised?

Any monies raised will be put towards federation projects.

Last year we were delighted to raise enough funds to support the development of the playground on the Junior site for all children to access across the federation. We also funded the Community Garden on the Infant site and supported educational visits. Our main aim this year will include raising enough money to revamp the ICT suite, to have a federation ICT suite for all children to access.

Thank you so much to everyone who is and has been involved; we couldn’t do it without you!

How can you get involved?

There are several ways of getting involved and ‘doing your bit’ and we are always happy to welcome new volunteers! We don’t expect everyone to do everything, but if lots of people helped in a small way, we could make a huge difference – even just 10 minutes of your time helping at an event enables us to keep raising funds. There are several ways to get involved:

  • Join the committee and attend regular meetings.
  • Lend a hand at our fundraising events (e.g. school disco, summer fair)
  • Help to prepare for various events behind the scenes (e.g. present wrapping, baking, sewing bunting, printing, collecting supplies)
  • Donate prizes or services for raffles – use your contacts to help us!

Come along and join us, volunteer your time or your expertise – we guarantee you’ll meet some great people and have fun!
