We are delighted that you are considering Livingstone Road Primary Federation for your child. We understand that choosing the right school is a very considered and important decision.

The admissions process differs according to the stage your child is at on their educational journey. We have information for children starting in Year R to Year 2 and Year 3 to Year 6. 

In the Autumn term of Year 6, parents must apply for their secondary school place for Year 7 in September the following year. Closing dates for applications for Secondary are 31st October 2026.

Although our admission applications are processed for us by BCP council, we are happy to support the admissions process and do all we can to help you discover if our Federation is right for your child.

How to apply

Before making an application to join Livingstone Road Infant School or Livingstone Road Junior School, we encourage you to contact us and arrange to visit the school. It is a great opportunity to find out more about Livingstone Road Primary Federation, our values and ethos, tour our facilities and meet our teaching staff.

How to apply – Year R 

If your child is 4 years old or will turn four before 1 September 2027, they can start school in Reception class (Year R) in September 2027.

Sometimes children need to move schools during the academic year, for example, if you have moved house or wish to change schools and this is called In Year Admissions.
