Mental Health and Wellbeing

We understand that children can experience different emotional needs, and this can have an impact on a child’s learning and general well-being. All children across our Federation can have access to the Pastoral team to support with this, through referrals being made by their class teacher and/or parent/carer.

Senior Mental Health Leads

Our Senior Mental Health Leads play a key role in championing the wellbeing of our whole school community. They oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of a comprehensive, school-wide strategy that supports the mental health of all pupils and staff.

Through strong leadership and a strategic approach, the Senior Mental Health Leads help embed positive mental health and wellbeing into every aspect of school life. Their work ensures that our school remains a nurturing, supportive environment where everyone can thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically.

Pastoral Team

Our Pastoral Team are Trauma‑Informed Practitioners. They offer targeted intervention where children are listened to and supported through specific therapeutic work focused on their emotional needs. Children can access pastoral support by being referred by their teacher or parent-carer . Alongside individual work, we also provide group sessions tailored to particular needs.

If something has happened at home that may be causing your child upset or distress, please inform us or the class teacher so we can work together to support your child.

We offer support to all our children and their families, including parenting support and collaboration with Early Help and other outside agencies. We are proud to work in strong partnership with local organisations and community services, ensuring that our children and families benefit from a wide network of support.
